BURST aims to develop the next generation of IBC solar cells with innovative and industrially scalable photonic light management, superior passivation schemes and Ag-free metallization.

The next generation of IBC solar cells: from building blocks to scale up

The BURST project gathers interdisciplinary expertise to develop building blocks like nanophotonic structures and passivation and metallization approaches, implemented in solar cells at TRL 4-5. It will also investigate the viability of their implementation in industrial process like laser patterning and atmospheric dry etching and fabricate mini-modules, while ensuring sustainability of the technology.
